Who is Jesus?

It is the most perfect human being God has ever offered us to serve as a model and guide; it is the kind of moral perfection we can aspire to on earth. [1] It is a spirit like us, but it has progressed and reached perfection, with a degree of evolution far from our reality, endowed with love, intelligence, moral and intellectual evolution developed for millennia.

He need not have incarnated on earth, but he came to teach us the law of love by example. No teaching was left without his personal testimony. Religion with Him is a new way of living and relating to others at all times. According to observations of the Golden Spirit, in the book Universe and Life, Jesus - the Planetary Christ, in order to appear visible and tangible on the surface of the earthly crust, had to voluntarily accept untranslatable, unspeakable and immense cosmic torture, albeit almost unavailable to understanding. human.

The author asserts that at first Jesus was obliged to abdicate, for a very long time for us, his natural limitlessness of the Cosmic Spirit and his throne in the Sun, headquarters of the System, needing to transfer from the star center to the photosphere, place where the first and painful dive into matter would be possible, through the conscious coating of your spirit mind with an energetic photon tissue.

Subsequently, it was necessary to immerse in the very core of the universe, using vast electromagnetic potentials of the ionosphere to transform its photonic cloak into leptons and quarters that form mesons and baryons, thus being able to structure ionized atoms. Finally, to complete the painful operation of tangibility, he coated the ionic body with a very subtle molecular tunic made from ectoplasm, combined with plant cells collected mainly from vineyards and wheat fields. [2]

Jesus is undoubtedly an above-average spirit, having walked among us in an example of love never before seen. Kardec manifests himself by saying that God has offered Him as a model for humanity, representing the doctrine which He taught as the purest expression of the law of the Lord, and was the purest of all who appeared on earth, for the Divine Spirit animated Him. [3]

It is important to emphasize that Spiritism understands that the greater meaning of Jesus lies in his example of life, showing us a new pattern of behavior. By the force of his example, he has given his existence unparalleled significance to this day, but not by the myths or interpretations and dogmas attached to his message, but by the experience of love.

Another important fact is that Spiritism brings a new idea about the miracles of Jesus, not seeing in them something supernatural or miraculous, because this does not exist for the Spiritist Doctrine, being all part of the natural laws of God, only still unknown to men. . Jesus, by virtue of his knowledge and mediumistic ability, was eventually interpreted, by the ignorance of the people at the time, as the maker of wonderful and fantastic events.

The Spirit Miramez [4], commenting on the question 625 of The Spirits' Book, affirms that Jesus is the “model of humanity”, asserting that the Master Teacher is really the model in which men should be inspired, walking with steps steady towards the light. He points out that Kardec, when asking the question, probably imagined all the great characters of universal history, testing both, but the Spirits, without any doubt, affirmed that only Jesus was and is the guide of all peoples. Remember also that the Master Himself, in John 8:12, said to be the light of the world and that who followed Him would not walk in darkness, but instead would have the light of life.

He points out that in the consciousness of all beings the certainty that Jesus is the Shepherd of the whole human flock, which is why he affirms that the Spiritist Doctrine without Jesus loses its value, falls apart in the mists of time, forgetting its sustaining source of life. Other very relevant information about Jesus can be found in the book On the Way to the Light, dictated by Emmanuel, psychograph of Chico Xavier, which is to make Jesus part of a community of Pure Spirits and Elect by the Supreme Lord of the Universe, in whose hands are the reins. life directors of all planetary collectives. [5]

In the same work we can see that Jesus, at the time of the formation of our planet Earth, was already a pure and perfect spirit, having worked as a builder of our planet since the beginning of his formation, about four and a half billion years ago, He “organized the scenery of life, in God's sight, creating the indispensable for the existence of beings to come.” [6]

In due course, it is appropriate to bring up some comments by Kardec about the personality of Jesus, present in the work The Genesis [7]. He points out that without prejudging the nature of the Christ and, considering him, by hypothesis, but a superior Spirit, one cannot fail to recognize in him a Spirit of the highest order, because of his virtues that place him far above terrestrial humanity. From the enormous results produced, His coming into this world could not but be one of the missions entrusted only to the direct messengers of the Godhead, for the accomplishment of His purposes. Supposing Jesus is not God Himself, says Kardec, but one of His envoys to convey His word would be more than a prophet, would be a divine Messiah.

The Codifier adds that Jesus, as a man, an incarnate Spirit, had the organization of carnal beings, but that as a pure Spirit he should live much more in the spiritual life than in the corporeal one, since Jesus' superiority in relation to humanity did not refer to particularities. of his body, but those of his Spirit, capable of mastering matter absolutely and also of his perispirit, surely fed by the purest and most quintessential part of the terrestrial fluids. Remember that the superior spirits can come to the lower worlds and even incarnate there, when they need to perform a divine mission, as happened with the coming of Jesus, being his soul linked to the body by strictly indispensable ties and, being his soul constantly separated from the gave him a permanent double view, of exceptional penetration and far superior to that of ordinary men.

According to Kardec, of all the faculties revealed by Jesus, none would be beyond the conditions of humanity, and can also be found in men, since they are part of nature. However, by the superiority of Jesus' moral essence and fluidic qualities, the faculties reached proportions above those of the ordinary. Its qualities are those that characterize the state of pure spirits.

The meaning of Jesus' synthesis of existence, of human being, of life, can be assessed in a short summary of his ideas [8]:

1. Only God is the father of all (all are equal before God).

2. Love God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all spirit, and love your neighbor as yourself, that is all the law and all the prophets are contained in it.

3. Treat all men the same way you would like to be treated.

4. Love your enemies and do good to those who hate you and pray for those who persecute and slander you.

5. The one among you who is not wrong, who throws the first stone.

6. I do not say that you should forgive your brother up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven times.

7. Reconcile with your opponent while you are with him on the way.

8. Do not judge lest you be judged.

9. No one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.

10. Man came not to be served, but to serve and to give his life for the many.

11. Why do you see a speck in your brother's eye, you who do not see a beam in his eye?

12. Let your left hand not know what your right hand does.

13. A lamp is not lighted to put it under a bushel, but upon a lamp, that it may lighten all that are in the house.

14. There is nothing secret that should not be discovered, nor anything hidden that should not be known.

15. Out of charity, there is no way to gain a greater knowledge of self and life.

16. Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted; those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled; the humble, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven; those who have a pure heart because they will see God; those who are gentle because they will possess the earth; the peaceable, for they shall be called the sons of God; those who are merciful because they themselves will obtain mercy.

Therefore, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and by practicing his message we move towards evolution and happiness.
